Tanvir Ahmed blasted Najam Sethi over unfair treatment

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is under immense stress, as the Asia Cup is on the verge of being moved out from Pakistan. Besides that, the financial and political turbulence in Pakistan has affected every organisation, including the PCB.

Amid the ongoing crisis in the cricket board in Pakistan, former cricketer Tanvir Ahmed has blasted the board and chairman Najam Sethi over the unfair treatment of players.

Appearing on a local news show, Ahmed revealed that PCB sent him a 1000 rupees ticket to watch a game while they sent chairman box passes to players like Shahid Afridi and Javed Miandad.

“I have represented Pakistan in Test and ODIs, and then they send me a 1000 rupees ticket. Are we beggars? Will you send these tickets to Javed Miandad or Shahid Afridi?”

What followed was that Tanvir tore the ticket on national television and remarked, ‘Hum koi bhikari nhi hai jo 1000 rupees ki ticket bhejwa rhe hai (We are not beggars that they are sending us 1000 rupees ticket.)’ Here is the video.

Notably, Tanvir has played just seven international games for Pakistan from 2010-13. Although, the 44-year-old failed to garner fans’ support over this issue and instead faced backlash over his bizarre demand.
