Virat Kohli has to take a break from cricket. Kohli ended the IPL 2022 with 341 runs in 16 matches which he scored at an average of 22.73 and a strike rate of 115.99.
Virat Kohli fell for a golden duck as many as three times in the 15th season. Even former India head coach Ravi Shastri urged the champion cricketer to take a break from the game. Former England captain Michael Vaughan said the same after RCB finished their campaign with a seven-wicket defeat to Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 2.
“He is a legendary player who is going through a bad phase. Two or three years ago, he was dealing in hundreds across the globe,” said Vaughan on Cricbuzz.
“He needs a breather. Go on a break with your family. Come to England and then start to hit some balls again.”
Kohli has been rested for India’s upcoming five-match T20I series against South Africa.
“He should pack his bag and go and sit down with the family. He should stay away from all the activities, and he will feel nice when he picks the bat up,” he added.
