Virat Kohli spoke about the two cricketing moments that broke his heart, and he still thinks about those incidents. The first one was the 9th season of the Indian Premier League in 2016. Kohli was the best batter of the season and scored 973 runs.
Even after all the efforts, he felt terrible when he couldn’t lead his team to the IPL title by winning the finale against the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
The second incident was related to the ICC T20 World Cup in 2016. Virat was the player of the tournament that year, but he felt heartbroken when India lost the semi-final against the Daren Sammy-led West Indies.
“IPL final 2016 and that same year, 2016 World Cup semi-final against the Windies,” said Virat.
Speaking of the most memorable moments of his career, he mentioned his team’s win against Gujarat Lions in the IPL 2016 qualifier 1. “The qualifier against Gujarat Lions when AB de Villiers played a good knock, and Iqbal was with him at the other end. The celebration after the match was the most special I have seen in my career,” he added. Virat is currently playing for RCB in IPL 2022.
