Michael Vaughan’s predictions are like weather as they keep on changing after a while. When Australia was in Pakistan, he gave the title of No.1 batter to Babar Azam in white-ball cricket.
However, he has a change of heart after a few months. The former England player now feels Jos Buttler is the No.1 batsman in limited-overs cricket because of his phenomenal display in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.
After Buttler’s attacking start in Qualifier 2 against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Vaughan took to Twitter to laud the wicket-keeper batter, who has scored 750+ runs. After Virat Kohli and David Warner, he is the third player to touch this mark.
“The No 1 white-ball player in the world (by a country mile btw) is at it again .. #Buttler #RR #IPL2022,” he wrote.
