Tilak Varma has created a new record in the Indian Premier League. The Mumbai Indians batter has scored the most runs in an IPL season under the age of 20.
In 12 games so far, Tilak has accumulated 368 runs at an average of 40.88, including two fifties.
He surpassed Rishabh Pant, who had amassed 366 runs in 2017. Prithvi Shaw (353 runs in 2019) and Sanju Samson (339 runs in 2014) are also part of the list.
The southpaw has two more games to go and can take his tally above 400 runs in the cash-rich league.
However, his performance has gone in vain as MI have managed to win just three games in the 15th season of the tournament.
