Rohit Sharma vs MS Dhoni

Virat Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma has admitted that Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) don’t look strong on papers. Both CSK and MI lost their opening matches in IPL 2022.

While Mumbai lost to Delhi Capitals (DC) by four wickets, Chennai were thumped by Kolkata knight Riders (KKR) by six wickets.

After analysing the MI and CSK squads for the ongoing season, Sharma said the teams are missing their key players.

“I am concerned about these two teams this season. Their key players have left, and they have new combinations. Mumbai will miss Trent Boult, while Chennai have also released a couple of their top performers. So they will have to work hard.”

However, the former player believes that both franchises have the experience and the support staff to recover from the early setback and lack of former teammates.

“Their management is good, so I hope to see them back with top-class performance. They also have good players since they did a lot of homework before buying players in the auction.”
