Shane Watson, who is associated with Delhi Capitals as an assistant coach, reacted to Umran's raw pace

Umran Malik has been a story of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. His genuine pace and toe-crushing Yorkers have made him a bowler to watch out for. The 22-year-old bowled a 157 kmph ball, the fastest of the 15th season, in a match against the Delhi Capitals. Overall, it is the second-fastest delivery in IPL history.

Shane Watson, who is associated with Delhi Capitals as an assistant coach, reacted to Umran’s raw pace, stating that he wouldn’t like to face him even in the nets.

“A bowler bowling at that pace is scary to face. The bowlers who bowl around 145 kmph can be handled easily but the moment pace crosses that mark, it becomes tough for any batter to play shots. He is a young lad who will improve with time. It is good to see a bowler steaming in, and Umran has a nice company in the form of Dale Steyn,” said Watson.
