Rohit Sharma had a disastrous Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 as a captain and player.

Rohit Sharma was looking in sensational touch before his dismissal against Gujarat Titans. The captain of Mumbai Indians scored 45 off 29 balls, laced with 5 fours and a six to give his franchise an attacking start along with Ishan Kishan.

With his departure, he equalled Shikhar Dhawan’s record of getting out most times on 40s in the Indian Premier League. The two opening batters have achieved this unwanted feat on 16 occasions each in the tournament. Brendon McCullum (15) and Robin Uthappa (14) are third and fourth respectively.

MI have won just one game out of 9 in IPL 2022.
