Mumbai Indians head coach Mahela Jayawardene has reacted to the no-ball controversy that marred the Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals match

Rishabh Pant was furious and instructed his batters to leave the field after on-field umpires refused to check the above waist delivery bowled to Rovman Powell by Obed McCoy. The Delhi Capitals thought they were denied an opportunity to win the match, with Powell hitting three consecutive sixes.

Pant was asked to calm down by Shane Watson, who was discharging the duties of a head coach after Ricky Ponting was placed in isolation after one of his family members tested COVID-19 positive.

“I was frustrated as I thought the third umpire should have been intervened, but that’s not in my hand. The decision undid us as a no-ball would have been good for us,” he said.
