Shane Watson, the assistant coach of the Delhi Capitals, was not happy with Rishabh Pant and Pravin Amre

Rishabh Pant has come under the scanner after telling his batter to stage a walkout after the on-field umpires refused to check the above waist full toss bowled to Rovman Powell by Obed McCoy.

Needing 36 off 6 balls, Powell had hit McCoy for three successive sixes, and the no-ball would have given an extra delivery to the Capitals to try and win the game.

Pant was slammed by Irfan Pathan, Piyush Chawla, Kevin Pietersen and many others for his behaviour.

“Pant was wrong to instruct his batters to come back,” said Irfan Pathan.

“Rishabh Pant should have controlled himself as you can’t do that in a match,” said Piyush Chawla.

“Rishabh Pant calling batters back and coach entering the field to stop the play was unacceptable. I hope I never see this kind of a thing again,” said Kevin Pietersen.
