Rashid Khan’s display with the willow won the game for Gujarat Titans from an impossible position in IPL 2022. The right-handed batter scored an unbeaten 31 off 11 balls, laced with four sixes against Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2022. Rahul Tewatia was the other batter who smashed 40 not-out off 21 balls, including 4 fours and 2 sixes.
Rashid credited captain Hardik Pandya and head coach Ashish Nehra for the franchise’s success in the 15th season. The win by 5 wickets took them to the top of the table with 14 points from 8 games.
“Happy with my contribution. Our skipper Hardik Pandya has been spot on and doesn’t put pressure on the players. Ashish bhai has created a good environment and has defined every player’s role. We know what we have to do in a match, and we all are contributing,” said Rashid.
Umran Malik took five wickets; his maiden fifer to keep the Kane Williamson-led team in the game, but the onslaught by Rashid and Rahul took the game away from the Orange Army. Earlier, SRH scored 195/6 in 20 overs.
