According to RR spinner R Ashwin, the entire incident allowed them to settle down.

The match could have gone either way with Delhi Capitals needing 18 off 3 balls, but the no-ball controversy not only allowed the Rajasthan Royals bowler to settle down but also broke Rovman Powell’s momentum, who had hit three consecutive sixes on the bowling of Obed McCoy.

The third ball bowled by Obed was above the waist height, but Powell somehow managed to hit the ball for a six. However, this is when all hell broke loose, and Rishabh Pant was seen signalling the batters to come back. Even Pravin Amre went on to the field to argue with the umpires.

According to RR spinner R Ashwin, the entire incident allowed them to settle down.

“I think that break when the (Delhi Capitals) coach came in, and the whole thing happened, that sort of settled our nerves.”
