Quinton de Kock has been an aggressive batter since making his debut, and his performance in the shortest format of the game makes him one of the threatening openers. The southpaw has made his performance count in the Indian Premier League. Quinton formed a match-winning partnership with Rohit Sharma for Mumbai Indians, but the five-time champions did not retain the South Africa wicketkeeper.

Lucknow Super Giants, the new franchise, didn’t miss the chance and added him to the team after successfully bidding for him in the IPL 2022 mega auction. After an ordinary start for the new team, de Kock is slowly picking up his pace. He recently equalled Kamran Akmal’s world record in T20 cricket.

Playing against Kolkata Knight Riders, he accumulated 50 off 29 balls, laced with 4 fours and 3 sixes at a strike rate of 172.41.

The 29-year-old has 48 fifty-plus scores as a wicketkeeper. Kamran was the first keeper to touch this milestone.
