There is a debate going on whether Virat Kohli should take a break from cricket or not. While some cricket experts have openly advocated the need for the 34-year-old to spend some time away from cricket to roar back to form, others are against the idea.
Former Indian player Sunil Gavaskar is the latest personality to opine on the matter. He has added Team India’s angle to it, reminding Virat of his No.1 priority.
“As long as the break doesn’t mean Virat Kohli is missing India matches. India matches should be the No.1 priority. It’s as simple as that. All of us want Kohli to score runs for India. So Virat Kohli can’t break for India matches.”
The former RCB skipper has failed miserably in IPL 2022 and has registered three golden ducks and just one half-century.
