Gujarat Titans pacer Mohammed Shami has revealed that captaincy has changed Hardik Pandya. The pacer said that Pandya is ready to take the responsibility of leadership.
GT are currently taking on Lucknow Super Giants in both teams’ opening match in IPL 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
“Hardik as a captain is very different. Earlier, he was a laidback cricketer, who was in his mood, but now he is taking responsibility and taking to teammates. He has spoken about situations and conditions. I have seen these changes, and I feel he is ready to take responsibility.”
Shami also spoke about the preparations for the 15th season of the cash-rich league.
“Everyone is aware of what is needed from them in T20 format. The good thing is that we all are in rhythm. It is important to have match preparations behind you.”
The pacer was part of India’s 2-0 Test series win over Sri Lanka and took five wickets in two Test matches.
