Virat Kohli’s first half-century in 14 IPL games went in vain as the league-leading Gujarat Titans routed the Royal Challengers Bangalore by six wickets.

Sunrisers Hyderabad won the second successive game of IPL 2022 after defeating Gujarat Titans by 8 wickets. Batting first, the Hardik Pandya-led team scored 162/7 in 20 overs, with the skipper accumulating 50 off 42 balls.

However, the score was not enough to register a fourth successive win as the Kane Williamson team completed the task after losing just two wickets. Kane led from the front and smashed a valuable fifty. Former India player Mohammad Kaif was not impressed with the batting of the Titans.

He feels only Shubman Gill has been in form while the other batsmen have been disappointing in the tournament.

“GT are winning matches because of their bowling. Their batting has not been good so far, and they need a collective effort from the big willow holders if they want to play in the finale of the 15th season of the league,” he said.
