Lucknow skipper Lokesh Rahul used eight bowlers, but still, Rajasthan managed to put up a formidable total.

Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul has been fined INR 24 lakh for maintaining a slow over rate in their IPL 2022 match against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede stadium.

It was KL Rahul’s second slow over rate offence of the ongoing season. He was fined INR 12 lakh for the first offence.

“KL Rahul was fined INR 24 lakh and rest of the players in the playing XI were fined INR 6 lakh or 25 percent of their match fee, whichever is lower,” said the IPL in a statement.

“This was team’s second offence of the season under the IPL’s code of conduct related to minimum over-rate offences.

If the Lucknow-based franchise repeats the offence for the third time, not only KL will be fined a sum of INR 30 Lakhs, he will also be banned for one IPL match.

Meanwhile, LSG defeated MI by 36 runs.
