Quinton de Kock has been an aggressive batter since making his debut.

KL Rahul’s decision to bat first paid rich dividends for the Lucknow Super Giants as the captain along with Quinton de Kock stitched highest opening partnership in the history of the Indian Premier League.

The two added 210 runs for the first wicket stand and surpassed David Warner and Jonny Bairstow’s record of 185, which the two had achieved against Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2019.

The South African wicket-keeper scored an unbeaten 140 off 70 balls, laced with 10 fours and as many sixes. Captain Rahul accumulated 68 off 51 balls, including 4 sixes and 3 fours.

If Lucknow win this match, they will qualify for the playoffs, while KKR will be eliminated from IPL 2022.
