Jos Buttler has crossed the 450-run mark in just seven matches of IPL 2022. He could break all the big records of the cash-rich league in the coming days. One such record is for the most runs in the single-season of the tournament.
Virat Kohli currently holds the record with 973 runs, which he scored in 2016. The then skipper of Royal Challengers Bangalore also hit four hundreds, the highest in one season of the IPL.
Harsha Bhogle has made a big prediction for England’s wicket-keeper batter. He feels Butter might get close to Kohli’s record at this scoring rate.
“Buttler 2022. Might even get close to Kohli 2016 at this rate. Almost halfway there,” he wrote.
Jos Buttler scored 116 off 65 balls, laced with 9 fours and as many sixes in his sensational knock. He has hit three hundreds in the 15th season of the Indian Premier League so far.
