After struggling for a long part of his innings, he suddenly went after the bowlers from the 17th over. He completed 700 runs in the 15th season of the league.
In 15 matches, he has amassed 718 runs at an average of 55.23 and a strike rate of 148.34. He has hit 3 hundreds and 4 fifties in his best IPL season.
Riding on his 89 off 56 balls, the Sanju Samson-led team scored 188/6 in 20 overs.
He was lucky to stay at the crease as GT players failed to hold on to the catches offered by the RR opener.
However, Buttler’s form played an important role in RR’s qualification for the playoffs. They finished second in the points table with 18 points from 14 games.
