Despite not being at his best, Virat Kohli stated that the current phase of his career is his happiest, and he is not bothered by people's perceptions of him.

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) director of cricket Mike Hesson has opined on Virat Kohli’s poor luck in IPL 2022 following his dismissal against the Punjab Kings (PBKS). He said the 33-year-old is looking in good touch and that the good knock is just around the corner.

Kohli, who has three golden ducks in this IPL, fell to the pace of Kagiso Rabada after he was caught at short fine leg. The on-field umpire gave not out, but Punjab reviewed, and video showed the ball kissed the gloves. Virat scored 20 with the help of 2 fours and a six.

Hesson said that Kohli looked very good against Punjab. “He was aggressive, and he is doing everything correctly. I thought today was going to be his day but once again.”

He also pointed out Kohli’s poor luck.” His luck is not favouring him, and he is as frustrated as anybody.”

The 47-year-old does not think Kohli’s has been marred by technical issues and backed the RCB star to come good.

“He is the best we ever had. He hasn’t scored a lot of runs in IPL 2022. It is not a technical thing. He was unfortunate. We have a huge game coming up, so there is no reason why he can’t score in that game.”
