Hardik Pandya has done exceptionally well as a captain of Gujarat Titans, with his team sure to finish among the top two teams.

Captain Hardik Pandya could not believe what Rahul Tewatia did on the last two balls of the match against Punjab Kings. With 12 needed off 12 balls, the southpaw hit the two most important sixes of his career to take the Titans to an unbelievable win in IPL 2022.

The match was in the grasp of Punjab before Rahul showed his range of strokes against Odean Smith.

Hardik was mighty pleased with the all-rounder and even had words of sympathy for the Mayank Agarwal-led team.

“Hats off to Rahul Tewatia. It is difficult to go out there and hit, and to do it under pressure and the whole world is watching you is great,” he said.

According to him, it was Kings’ game. “It was Punjab Kings’ game, and I sympathize with them,” he added.

Shubman Gill was the top scorer of the game, with his 96 coming off just 59 balls. The young Indian batter hit 11 fours and a six before being dismissed by Kagiso Rabada.

“It is so pleasing to see Shubman Gill’s batting. Moreover, he tells everybody that he is there,” Hardik concluded.
