Khaleel Ahmed is confident that he can make a comeback to the Indian team with his performance in IPL 2022. Delhi Capitals bought him for the 15th season of the tournament. The left-arm pacer made his debut for India in 2018 and played his first ODI against Hong Kong.
Khaleel has not played for India since November 2019 but believes that he can return to international cricket.
In 11 ODIs and 14 T20I matches that he has played for the national team, Khaleel has taken 15 and 13 wickets, respectively. Before joining Delhi, he was with Sunrisers Hyderabad for four seasons. The 24-year old bagged two wickets against Mumbai Indians, conceding 27 runs in four overs.
“I have worked hard on my bowling and am bowling 140 kmph plus consistently. I think I can serve India for 10-12 years. You will see a different KhaKhaleel this time in the IPL and for India in the future,” Khaleel told The Times of India.
