Jimmy Neesham has turned down a central contract offered to him by New Zealand Cricket.

Many have widely praised him, and the current India skipper Rohit Sharma feels that the right-handed batter is needed in Australia, a place where the upcoming T20 World Cup will be played. And now Jimmy Neesham has lauded the wicket-keeper batter.

Neesham, who is associated with Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2022, has become a fan of captain Sanju Samson’s stroke-making. In his latest interview, the Kiwi all-rounder talked about the Indian player.

Samson played a match-winning knock in his team’s first match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The 27-year-old scored an attacking fifty that took Rajasthan to above 200 runs.

“Sanju Samson played a couple of shots at training a couple of days ago, and I looked across at Daryl Mitchell, and we just sort of looked at each other and went ‘wow,’ that’s a hell of a cricketer.”
