Mohammad Kaif has praised Hardik Pandya for his captaincy in IPL 2022 and his well-planned innings in the Qualifier 1 encounter against the Rajasthan Royals (RR).
He led Gujarat Titans (GT) to a seven-wicket win to seal their place in the tournament’s final, which will be played on Sunday (May 29) in Ahmedabad.
“Hardik stands at mid-off and speaks to the bowlers. We didn’t see a better captain than him in this IPL. He has done a fantastic job.”
The former player pointed out that Pandya made a good decision to invite the Royals to bat first.
“He knows when to bat or bowl after winning the toss. They won eight of their first nine matches. However, there were hiccups after that, but the team bounced back smartly.”
