Harbhajan Singh was shocked to see Agarwal's performance.

Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh is miffed with the umpire’s call rule in LBW decisions. The veteran wants the ICC to change the rule at the earliest as it is of no significance.

Bhajji registered his anger when Evin Lewis was given not-out on Lucknow Super Giants’ review despite the ball hitting the stumps as it was the umpire’s call. The same batter was given out as the on-field umpire had given him out, and it was the umpire’s call once again.

Harbhajan wants the decision-making body to take away the power from the on-field umpire, and the batter should be given out when the ball touches the stumps during LBW calls.

“I don’t understand this ridiculous rule. The batter has to be out when the ball touches the stumps, and the on-field umpire should have no say if he uses technology to come to a conclusion. Evin Lewis was given not-out because it was the umpire’s call despite the ball hitting the stumps, and the same player was given out because the umpire had declared him out, and the ball was once again touching the stumps,” he said.

Sunrisers Hyderabad are taking on Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2022.
