Rajasthan Royals could have won the game had they taken a DRS against Mitchell Marsh

Rajasthan Royals could have won the game had they taken a DRS against Mitchell Marsh when he was new at the crease, but captain Sanju Samson didn’t go for it thinking the batter hit the ball with the bat.

However, the replay showed that the ball hit the pad first, and Marsh would have been out if the Royals had opted for the Decision Review System. The umpire did not entertain Trent Boult’s appeal.

The Aussie all-rounder scored 89 off 62 balls, including 7 sixes and 5 fours, to seal the game in DC’s favour. David Warner was unbeaten on 52 off 41 balls.

“Sanju Samson should have taken DRS even if he was 50 percent sure as Marsh’s wicket could have changed the game in Rajasthan’s favour. They made a big mistake which cost them the match in the end. The reviews are provided to correct the wrong calls, and Royals will regret their mistake,” said Bhajji.
