Virat Kohli’s first half-century in 14 IPL games went in vain as the league-leading Gujarat Titans routed the Royal Challengers Bangalore by six wickets.

Gujarat Titans are off to a memorable start in their debut season, having registered three consecutive wins. The team led by Hardik Pandya defeated Punjab Kings by 6 wickets in IPL 2022.

GT are the third team to win their first three games in the competition. Chennai Super Kings in 2008 and Gujarat Lions in 2016 are the previous two franchises to achieve this massive record.

Punjab Kings had scored 189/9 in 20 overs, with Liam Livingstone contributing 64 off just 27 balls.

Chasing 190, Shubman Gill accumulated 96 off 59 balls to keep Titans in the race. However, Gill and Hardik Pandya’s dismissals brought Punjab back into the game. 12 runs were needed off the last two balls, and Rahul Tewatia hit two massive sixes to seal the game in his team’s favor.
