Umran Malik has been quite successful in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. He has been expensive in the last three games, but his overall display has been magnificent for Sunreisers Hyderabad.
The 22-year has taken 15 wickets, including a five-wicket haul against Gujarat Titans. Many former cricketers have praised the Jammu & Kashmir pacer and predicted a better future for the speedster.
Joining the list; former Pakistan wicket-keeper Kamran Akmal feels he should play for India despite being expensive. He compared Umran with Shoaib Akhtar and Brett Lee.
“Brett Lee and Shoaib (Akhtar) bhai were also expensive, but they picked up wickets, and that’s how the strike bowlers are,” he said.
