Former Australian cricketer Brett Lee has claimed that he can help Umran Malik bowl at 160 kmph.

Umran Malik has been sensational for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2022. The 22-year old has taken 18 wickets so far and many are backing him to make India debut in the upcoming T20I series against South Africa.

South Africa fast bowler Anrich Nortje said he is “sure” that Malik will go on to become one of the important players for Team India in the future. However, he said only raw pace might not guarantee success in international cricket.

“I am sure Umran Malik is going to be one of the important players for Team India in the future. However, he has to deliver quality bowling as we have seen fastest deliveries that are being awarded are going for boundaries,” Nortje told PTI in an interview.

The Proteas fast bowler said Malik is lucky to have Dale Steyn by his side as part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad support staff.

“Pace is not everything. It is about the quality of execution. I believe he is improving with Dale Steyn by his side. Umran is in good hands,” he added.
