Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Faf du Plessis has opened up on playing with the most successful player Virat Kohli in IPL 2022. Sharing a post on social media, he wrote that he is happy to be playing with him after competing against him for over a decade.
The veteran player replaced Virat as skipper after the latter left the post following the conclusion of the 14th season in the UAE.
“Been competing against each other for more than 10 years… Nice to be on the same side for once. Looking forward to spend some time in the middle with the great man, and really excited for the IPL season to start tomorrow.”
RCB will begin their campaign against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on March 27.
Even Virat had lauded the new skipper of the team. “He is a very good captain. Even as the rival captain, I have always admired him with the way he led the team. He got his team to rally around him, which is the most important thing for any skipper.”
