Ravindra Jadeja was ruled out of the remaining matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 due to an injury. Chennai Super Kings on Wednesday (May 11) confirmed that Jadeja’s rib injury has ended his campaign. Amid his injury, it has also emerged that all is not well between the all-rounder and the Chennai-based franchise. CSK have unfollowed Jadeja on Instagram.
Jadeja was named CSK’s new skipper just two days before the tournament but he stepped down from his post following the poor performance of the franchise and handed back the reins to MS Dhoni.
He played some games after leaving the role but wasn’t at his best. After his injury and reports of rift, many former cricketers believe the all-rounder’s term with CSK is over.
Former England captain Michael Vaughan is of a similar opinion. “I don’t know about his injury and impact of captaincy on him. However, bio-bubbles are driving players crazy. They can’t handle the situation anymore. If there is a fall out, it could end things. The relationship do comes to an end sometimes. A change is good for both the player and the franchise.”
