Virat Kohli was not at his best, and RCB needed him like they do every season.

Virat Kohli registered a second successive duck in Match 36 between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in IPL 2022. In eight matches, he has garnered 119 runs at an average of 17. The former Indian players want the former RCB skipper to take a break for a few matches or months. The latest to have an opinion on the matter is Wasim Jaffer.

Jaffer said it is disheartening to see the Virat Kohli fail match after match. He felt that the 33-year-old is working hard in the nets, but he is not able to do well during the match. He urged Virat to take a break for one or two months to rejuvenate himself and come back with a better frame of mind.

Apart from him, former India captain Mohammad Azharuddin also has a similar suggestion for one of the best batters of his era.

Azahar felt that Virat has played too much cricket and had a different view than the others who think the cricketer has taken regular breaks from international matches.

He reckoned that Kohli should take a break for 2-3 matches to be afresh, which would help him to stop thinking about his failures and play good cricket.
