Delhi Capitals (DC) physio Patrick Farhart has tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of the team’s game against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Saturday (April 16) in IPL 2022. This is the first case of someone contracting the virus inside the bio-bubble this year.

Dhananjay Kaushik, the assistant physio of Delhi Capitals, will take over the responsibilities until Patrick Farhart recovers. According to the protocols, Patrick will be kept in isolation for seven days from the rest of the squad. Farhart will need two negative RT-PCR tests taken 24 hours apart to re-enter the bio-bubble.

Meanwhile, there is no threat to Delhi Capitals’ next game against RCB on April 16 (Saturday). The game will be rescheduled only if the team does not have 12 fit players available. However, if the rescheduling of the match is not possible, the franchise unable to field 12 players would lose two points to their rivals.
