An overseas all-rounder of Delhi Capitals has tested positive for Covid-19, forcing the franchise to delay its travel for its next contest against Punjab Kings. The Aussie all-rounder showed symptoms and a Rapid Antigen Test was performed which came positive.
“DC players were supposed to travel to Pune today for their next match but the entire squad has been asked to stay in their respective rooms. The tests are being conducted to ascertain whether there is an outbreak in the camp or it is an isolated case like Patrick Farhart,” a BCCI source told PTI on Monday.
Another member of the support staff has shown symptoms but RT-PCR results are awaited. “All teams are staying at Conrad Hotel in Pune where BCCI has created a bio-bubble. All those whose results would be negative would be allowed to travel,” the source said.
