Deepak Chahar has been ruled out of IPL 2022 after suffering a back injury during his rehab process at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.

A new back injury has ended Deepak Chahar’s hope of playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.

Having entered the tournament without Chahar, the defending champions have lost all their four games so far in the 10-team league and are at the bottom of the points table.

While the INR 14 crore signing was expected to get fit before the second week of April, the back injury during his rehab at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru has put an end to all the speculations.

Chahal has been at the NCA for more than a month now, recovering from the quadricep tear he suffered during India’s T20I series against West Indies.

Deepak, who is also renowned for his batting, played a crucial role in CSK’s success last year in the UAE.
