Chennai Super Kings are already out of the playoff race in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. The defending champions have two games left in the ongoing season, and veteran cricketer Ambati Rayudu has announced retirement from the tournament. He will play in the remaining games and will then hang up his boots.
Rayudu took to social media to make the announcement. “I am happy to announce that this will be my last ipl. I have had a wonderful time playing it and being a part of 2 great teams for 13 years. Would love to sincerely thank Mumbai Indians and Csk for the wonderful journey,” he wrote.
In 187 matches, he scored 4187 runs at an average of 29.27, including one hundred and 22 fifties. Ambati hit 349 fours and 164 sixes in his IPL career.
