Chennai Super Kings have had one of their worst IPL seasons, having lost 9 matches in the 15th season of the tournament. Gujarat Titans hammered them by 7 wickets in the lastest game of IPL 2022.

Batting first, the defending champions scored 133/5 in 20 overs. Despite the presence of MS Dhoni at the crease, the team failed to hit a boundary in the last 5 overs, thus becoming the first franchise in IPL history to achieve this unwanted record.

Captain Dhoni, who is one of the best finishers, amassed 7 runs off 10 balls and was dismissed on the third delivery of the 20th over.

Chasing 134, the Hardik Pandya-led team never looked in trouble and won the game by 7 wickets.

Wriddhiman Saha accumulated an unbeaten 67 off 57 balls, laced with 8 fours and a six. He was named the Man of the Match.

With this win, Gujarat have confirmed their place in the top two teams, meaning they will get two chances in the knockout games.
