During a training session, Chennai Super Kings suffered another injury blow as star all-rounder Moeen Ali hurt his ankle. According to ESPNcricinfo, the defending champions are waiting for scan results.
Moeen is likely to miss the next few matches. The Ravindra Jadeja-led team is scheduled to play two games this week. They will take on Punjab Kings on Monday and against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 1. Moeen last played on April 17 against table-toppers Gujarat Titans.
He was dropped for the match against Mumbai Indians, which the team won, and where Kiwi spinner Mitchell Santner replaced him.
In the five matches he has played so far, Moeen has scored 87 runs at an average of 17.40. He has gone wicketless with the ball.
Deepak Chahar and Adam Milne have already been ruled out of IPL 2022.
