Captain Faf du Plessis was vocal while accessing his team’s worst defeat in IPL 2022. Despite being home to Faf, Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell and Dinesh Karthik, the Bangalore-based franchise scored 68.
It was an easy task for the Kane Williamson team as they won the game by 9 wickets in 8 overs. When the RCB skipper was asked about the loss, he said – “We didn’t bat properly and lost a couple of big wickets in the early overs. The batters should have spent some time on the wicket before playing the shots, but that didn’t happen,” he said.
“We would learn from our mistakes, and when we come back to the same ground and the team, we would perform better. Marso Jansen bowled well. His in-swing and out-swing were not easy to negotiate,” he added.
Sunrisers have registered five consecutive wins and are second in the points table, headed by Gujarat Titans.
