In a major blow for Rajasthan Royals, their fast bowler Nathan Coulter-Nile has been ruled out of IPL 2022. The Aussie pacer was injured during the first game of the season against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Although he conceded 48 runs and took 1 wicket in 3 overs, Nathan is a fine bowler in the game’s shortest format. He was phenomenal for Mumbai Indians when he turned up for them.
This has come as a major blow for the franchise, whose bowling was put under pressure by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the last game.
The management was counting big on him, but now they will have to look elsewhere for a bowler who can bowl well in death overs.
The 2008 champions haven’t announced the replacement yet but are expected to seek a new player in his place after taking permission from the BCCI.
Rajasthan have won two and lost one match in the 15th season of the cash-rich league so far.
