Aakash Chopra has highlighted that Dinesh Karthik is playing the role of AB de Villiers for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2022.
Karthik smoked 66 not out off 34 balls in the latest encounter against the Delhi Capitals. His innings helped his team post 189/5, and they won the match by 16 runs.
“It seems AB de Villiers has gone and left his soul in Dinesh Karthik. Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli did not score runs, but RCB still won.”
The former KKR player said Glenn Maxwell bailed them out of early setbacks.
“They lost quick wickets. Shardul Thakur, Anuj Rawat, Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli were dismissed cheaply. Maxwell batted like Maxi, and he hit very well.”
Maxwell scored 55 runs off 34 balls after RCB were reduced to 40/3.
