Jos Buttler is one of the most dangerous T20 batters globally, and his aggressive stroke-making was again on display in Rajasthan Royals’ second match of IPL 2022 against Mumbai Indians. The right-handed batter became the first player to hit a hundred in the 15th season of the tournament.
Put into bat first by Rohit Sharma, Buttler went on a rampage from the starting and completed his ton in just 68 balls. His knock was laced with 11 fours and 5 sixes. The wicket-keeper batter has smashed two hundreds in his IPL career so far.
He likes batting against the five-time champions Mumbai Indians in the cash-rich league. The veteran has accumulated 394 runs in 240 balls in the last five games against the Rohit Sharma-led team. Buttler has registered scores of 94* (53), 89 (43), 70 (44), 41 (32) and 100 (68) against the Mumbai-based franchise.
Rajasthan scored 193/8 in 20 overs, with Shimron Hetmyer (35) and Sanju Samson (30) also contributing to their team’s score.
