Pakistan wicket-keeper Azam Khan took a stunning catch to dismiss Johnson Charles in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024 on September 7. The contest between Guyana Amazon Warriors and Saint Lucia Kings was played at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet.
Azam’s brilliant effort came in the sixth over of the St Lucia’s innings. Keemo Paul bowled outside the off stump, and Charles tried to drive it on the off-side. However, the batter couldn’t time the shot properly, and the ball took a faint edge of the bat, with Azam diving to his right to complete the catch.

However, Azam failed to perform with the bat, registering a duck.
Guyana Amazon Warriors beat Saint Lucia Kings by 6 wickets
Guyana Amazon Warriors defeated Saint Lucia Kings by six wickets in CPL 2024. The Kings managed just 100 runs in 14.3 overs, with Matthew Forde scoring 31 runs off 21 balls.
Johnson Charles, Ackeem Auguste, and Tim Seifert were the other batters to enter the double digit scores.
Imran Tahir and Guadekesh Motie took three wickets each for the winning team. Guyana reached the target of 101 runs with six wickets in hand in 10 overs. Rahmanullah Gurbaz accumulated 47 runs off 19 balls, laced with 7 sixes.
Guyana are unbeaten with three wins from as many matches and is leading the points table.
