The ongoing year hasn’t been good for the entire world. Coronavirus has brought every activity to a standstill. The passing away of Irrfan Khan, the versatile actor, has given another shock to movie buffs. He breathed his last at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. His mother Saeeda Begum also passed away only recently.
He was widely hailed for his acting. From Bollywood to Hollywood, Irrfan left a deep impact on the millions. The 53-year old actor was last seen in the recently released Angrezi Medium.
The news of his demise was shared by the film director and one of Irrfan’s close friends Shoojit Sircar.
“My dear friend Irfaan. You fought and fought and fought. I will always be proud of you.. we shall meet again.. condolences to Sutapa and Babil.. you too fought, Sutapa you gave everything possible in this fight. Peace and Om Shanti. Irfaan Khan salute,” Shoojit Sircar’s tweet read as he broke out the sad news in public.
As soon as the news broke out, leading cricketers paid tribute to one of the finest actors.
“Saddened to hear about the passing of Irrfan Khan. What a phenomenal talent and dearly touched everyone’s heart with his versatility. May God give peace to his soul,” wrote Virat Kohli.
Former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar took to Twitter to write a heartfelt message for the actor.
“Sad to hear the news of #IrrfanKhan passing away. He was one of my favorites & I’ve watched almost all his films, the last one being Angrezi Medium. Acting came so effortlessly to him, he was just terrific. May his soul Rest In Peace. 🙏🏼Condolences to his loved ones.”
