The swashbuckling opener Aaron Finch is all set to play for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the upcoming edition of IPL. Australia’s limited-overs captain is widely regarded as one of the best batsmen in modern-day cricket. He was bought by the Bangalore-based franchise in December last year.

RCB have gone with the pair of Parthiv Patel and skipper Virat Kohli to open the innings over the past few years. With the inclusion of Finch in the RCB’s batting line-up, things might change for the team at the top order.

When RCB’s Director of Cricket Operations, Mike Hesson was asked if Finch will get a chance to open in the forthcoming tournament, he gave a smart reply.

“I did a press conference but never talked about where Virat is batting or where Finch is going to bat or they’re opening together. From a director or coach’s point of view, we wouldn’t tell anybody exactly what our line-up is because that’s our strategy,” Hesson said in a video posted by RCB’s official Twitter handle.

We want to keep our opposition guessing – Mike Hesson

As the 13th edition of IPL is just a few weeks away, fans want to know a lot of things about RCB’s team combination and their batting line-up.

However, Mike Hesson has made it clear that the franchise would not reveal anything about the team strategy at the moment and asked everyone to wait and keep guessing.

“We want to keep some of those things up our sleeves. We know we’re going to be asked many questions about who’s going to bat where. But you just have to wait. We want to keep our opposition guessing,” the former Kiwi player added.
