Virat Kohli hasn’t dominated teams in Test cricket for a long time. Infact, he has recorded the lowest batting average among the Indian legends in the last 40 Test matches. In the lastest five-match red-ball series against Australia, he couldn’t touch the 200-run mark. His only hundred came in the second innings of the first Test at the Optus Stadium in Perth.

He was caught eight times behind the stumps and failed to get going against the Australian pacers. The off-stump nightmare didn’t end Down Under and there is a possibility of him getting dropped from the Test team. The next Test series is in England and the Ajit Agarkar-led selection committee is likely to take stern action against the non-performers. Virat Kohli achieved an average of 32.29 in his last 40 Tests.
