Naseem Shah and Virat Kohli
Naseem Shah hailed Virat as the World's best batter

Pakistan’s rising star bowler Naseem Shah, who has formed a formidable pace trio with Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf, hailed Virat Kohli and remarked him as the world’s best player.

There is a constant debate around Babar Azam and Virat Kohli over the better white-ball player. Meanwhile, Naseem has not taken Babar’s name but rather praised Virat. “Virat is the world’s best player,” remarked Naseem speaking to Star Sports. Naseem has made a promising start to his cricketing career, as the 20-year-old has taken 98 wickets across formats.

Naseem made his debut for Pakistan in 2019 but played his first white-ball game for the Men in Green in 2022. Recently, the 20-year-old gave an injury scare to Pakistan after he injured his shoulder in the game against Bangladesh.

Against The Tigers, Shah landed badly on his shoulder while saving a boundary at the ropes, resulting in him going out of the ground for a while. Much to fans’ delight, Shah returned shortly and even bowled without any issues.

Meanwhile, Virat is yet to get going in the ongoing Asia Cup, as the former India skipper got out for four against Pakistan in the group stage game and did not get to bat in the match against Nepal.
