With the IPL just a few days away, RCB, like all other teams, has started training. The team has also begun connecting with fans and making public appearances. However, one question is now on everyone’s mind—where is Yash Dayal?

It’s possible that he may join the training sessions late, but his picture is also missing from the team poster on RCB’s bus. So, has RCB sidelined him?

The absence of this 27-year-old bowler is being widely discussed because he is currently involved in two serious legal cases. Reports claim that he faces serious allegations in two different states. One of these cases has been registered under the law related to crimes against children, known as the POCSO Act.

Yash Dayal’s name first came into controversy in early 2025, when an FIR was registered against him in Ghaziabad. He was accused of sexual exploitation under the pretext of marriage. He received interim relief from the Allahabad High Court, but shortly after, another serious case emerged in Jaipur.

In Rajasthan, he was arrested on charges of rape involving a minor. In January 2026, the Rajasthan High Court granted him temporary relief on the condition that he cooperates with the investigation.

Amid these controversies, he got married to Shweta Pundir on February 4, 2026.

Despite all this, RCB retained Yash Dayal for ₹5 crore for IPL 2026, after he played an important role in their 2025 title win. This decision has faced significant backlash on social media and in the cricket world.

Many people are raising the question of whether players facing serious allegations should be suspended until the court delivers a final verdict. So far, there has been no official statement from the team management on this issue.

This leaves a big question—is this just a strategic delay, or is the player’s exit from the team inevitable?
