On Sunday, India defeated Pakistan by 6 wickets in the Asia Cup. Pakistan had set a target of 172 runs for Team India. But thanks to the explosive batting of Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill, India chased down the target with 7 balls to spare.

After the win, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav completely dismissed the so-called rivalry with Pakistan. In the press conference, SKY said that a rivalry is when 15–20 matches are played and both teams win around 7–8 each. But if one team wins just 1 out of 10 matches and fails to win even once in 13 matches, then that cannot be called a rivalry.

For context, India and Pakistan have faced each other 15 times in the T20I format, in which Team India has won 12 matches, while Pakistan has managed to win only 3.
